There are lesson that can be learnt though the movies we watch; some answer life’s long unanswered questions some help you with love and relationships and then there’s some that can actually provide you with guides when faced with disasters. Below is a guide on what you need to do when faced with an evacuation:

2. Roughing It Out – Sullivan’s Travels (1941)

Coming off from a film director to a live as a hobo as a research for his new project; Joel McCrea portrayed this while living in a boxcar and it just goes to show when the going gets tough you just have to live through it.

3. Don’t Forget To Eat – Diner (1982)

A quaint film about of group of high school friends who reunite for a wedding and gather at The Coffee Clutch to reminisce about the good old days. It is the kind of place you want and need to go too especially after you have been driving for hours on the road trying to get to safety, a place where old friends gather, eat comfort food, read the dailies and just wind down and relax.

4. The Journey Home – A Prairie Home Companion (2006)

The drive back after spending quite some time evacuating can be long and tiring and returning home can only be sweet. The movie reminds that home is just around the corner and soon you will return to the familiar feel and cosiness willing you back after being away for a long time and you will remember that there’s not place like home sweet home.
