Downton Abbey‘s Second Episode Ratings Go Downtown

Despite being awarded Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at this Sunday’s 64th Emmy Awards; things weren’t quite as glowing at Downton Abbey.

The second episode of the series’ 3rd season was down 1 million viewers compared to figures from last year’s season 2 corresponding episode.

According to immediate statistics; the show managed to pull in an average of 8.14millioned viewers on Sunday night’s broadcast giving the ITV1 show a 30.7% share in demographics.

It beat the competition from other shows in its time slot with ease but viewership showed a declined compared to its premiere last Sunday which drew 8.64million viewers.
